The author of the book is Johann Friedrich Weidler (1692–1755), a German mathematician, astronomer, physicist and jurist. Master of Philosophy (1712), Doctor of Laws (1727). Professor of mathematics and law at the University of Wittenberg, member of the Royal Society of London and the Berlin Academy of Sciences. The book belonged to the library of the Radziwill family in Nesvizh, one of the largest libraries in the Commonwealth, which occupied a significant place among the most famous Belarusian historical private book collections.
