The book from the library of the Russian and Belarusian Slavic philologist, the founder of Belarusian linguistics and literary studies, paleographer, folklorist and ethnographer Yevfim Fyodorovich Karsky has been kept in the collection of the National Library of Belarus since 1922. The scientist was a native of Belarus, a professor and rector of the Imperial University of Warsaw, an academician and corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
